November 19th, 2011 is the 13th annual National Survivors of Suicide Day. The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention is offering a free 90 minute webcast. The broadcast features a panel of experienced survivors and mental health professionals and offers emotional support and information about resources for healing after the loss of a loved one to suicide. 2nd Annual SASS-MoKan Day of Healing

SASS-MoKAN invites you to a Day of Healing. As survivors, we forget to take good care of ourselves.

We are offering the following presentation/ information to help spiritually and physically: words of comfort, meditation & yoga breathing, healing collages, aromatherapy, music as comfort, journaling and body assessment.

World Suicide Prevention Day

Monday September 10 is World Suicide Prevention Day, and the International Association for Suicide Prevention suggests two world-wide activities.
International Association for Suicide Prevention

1. Light a Candle near a window at 8pm to show your support for suicide prevention to remember a lost loved one and for survivors of suicide.

2. Take Five to Save a Life: This will be an online/social networking event where people will log on to a website and join the movement to prevent suicide. Coordinated by SAVE, Suicide Awareness Voices of Education

The 9th Annual Remembrance Walk

The walk will take place on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at Loose Park.
